Wellwood Cemetery – West Babylon, NY

About Wellwood Cemetery

Wellwood Cemetery provides a respectful and welcoming resting place for Jewish families. It originally opened as an annex to the Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY, after it was unable to accept fresh burials in the 1960s. The cemetery is organized into sections that are composed of distinct synagogues or other groups and communities in NY. Many of these sections have monuments memorializing Holocaust victims from their towns.

There are also several notable individuals resting here, among them well-known rabbis.
