About Greenfield Cemetery
Founded in 1870, Greenfield Cemetery has served the community for generations. This peaceful cemetery offers a dignified final resting place for your loved one. With maintenance funded by the town, the staff keeps each burial site in pristine condition. Services include lawn mowing, trimming of shrubs and hedges, and more. The grounds cover approximately 158 acres, featuring trees that provide natural shade throughout the property.
The Greenfield Cemetery staff ensures that every burial proceeds smoothly and respectfully. They’re ready to assist families with any necessary arrangements.
As a public cemetery, Greenfield welcomes individuals of all faiths. No religious restrictions apply.
The Town of Hempstead owns and maintains Greenfield Cemetery. Only town residents may purchase burial plots, and all plot allocations follow town ordinances. To arrange a burial, contact the Town of Hempstead office directly.
To preserve the grounds, Greenfield Cemetery does not allow flowers or other grave decorations.
